Wide open spaces are the stuff of Fido's dreams, so we turned our furry tester loose in West Coast Park for a test.

Open all day, lighting hours from 7pm-7am.
Parallel to West Coast Highway

Test: Located at the corner of the park, this dog run has several logs scattered around to offer an obstacle course of sorts for active and playful pooches. An abundance of trees offers shade, while two water taps at the entrance cater to thirsty hounds. If Fido gets a little muddy, there's a dog wash machine nearby to spruce him up before loading him into the car.Verdict: The largest of the lot, the run is surprisingly quiet, considering it's situated next to two expressways. The raised logs offer many opportunities for exploration, while the lack of potholes and drains ensures that your furkid won’t trip or get hurt. There are sheltered tables and benches throughout that allow pet owners to rest and observe. This well-maintained and unobstructed field is perfect for furry sprinters that enjoy tearing around. The only caveat: To avoid a long walk from the car, park at Car Park 1.
