Pets & Friends @ Jurong

We met up with pet owners and their adorable furkids at the Singapore Pets Idol's third Qualifying Round.

The third Pets Idol qualifying round was held at Jurong. The event was graced by Guest of Honour, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, and Host Adviser, Ang Wei Neng, Grassroot Adviser to Jurong GRC GROs. It was an afternoon of fun activities and indoor displays of cat and rabbit breeds. Some canines took a splash in the doggie swimming pool. The ‘My Pet & I Celebrate in Style’ contest, held in celebration of National Day, also saw many owners and their furkids dressed in matching red and white outfits. Under the newly-launched ‘Pets & Friends CARE’ programme, elderly citizens from St Joseph’s Home, the Chinese Development Assistance Council, and the Active Ageing Committee were ferried to the event and had the opportunity to interact with the furkids.
