Running Pets 2013

It was touted as the pet version of The Amazing Race. pets magazine recently organised the inaugural Running Pets 2013 with Pet Lovers Centre and the event saw many pet owners joining forces with their furkids to form teams of two to six members. There was a total of 20 teams including canines of all shape and sizes. Participants had to conquer a host of fun challenges that awaited them at three pit stops at Pet Lovers Centre
branches across the island. They had to plan their own route and head to each stop in the shortest time possible. The obstacles were numerous. Participants had to groom a dummy dog, get their dogs to perform a trick, look for Fish4Dogs and Rogz products in the stores and complete a pet quiz. The final destination, Pet Safari at NEX Mall, was only revealed after the team had successfully completed the third and penultimate challenge. Despite expending all their energy, the participants were all smiles when they finally completed the race. Each team received a goodie bag, while the winner of the race, Team Initial D, walked away with $300 worth of prizes, courtesy of Fish4Dogs, Rogz and Pet Lovers Centre.
