French Bulldogs: Top Internet Search In 2020
UK: UK-based holiday company, Parkdean Resorts found that the French Bulldog saw a record of 450,000 searches (a 22% increase) in the past 12 months in the country.
With Goggle search data, they declared that small but mighty breed that has skyrocketed in popularity and, based on the search numbers, declared it as the UK's favourite dog of 2020.
In its press release, Parkdean noted: "With lockdown dominating most of the year, it’s no surprise that such a small dog that requires little exercise – and would be happy to lounge around in a small flat with its owner all day – took top spot".
The search data revealed the10 most popular breeds by internet searches in the past 12 months included the following:
Top spot went to the French Bulldog, the Cockapoo took second spot with 368,000 (+50%), Cocker Spaniels came in third with 301,000 (+83%), and German Shepherds took the fourth position. Rounding off the list: Golden Retriever, Labrador Retriever, Pugs, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and the Shih Tzu.
