Netizens have stepped forward to say that the security guard stopped Chiu from entering the store, refusing to listen to her explanations and was also verbally abusive towards her. Others have come forward to say they witnessed Miss Chiu and her male companion being overly sensitive, hurling insults at the security guard and threatening him when he politely stated that no dogs were allowed.
Zara has also come under fire, on its Facebook pages, with netizens expressing their displeasure and threatening to boycott their stores. Since then, its distributor RSH Limited has apologised to Miss Chiu, and to the public.
