A talking dog? No way!
Ventriloquist Marc Metral and fluffy companion Wendy may have gotten a standing ovation from the audience and four “yes-es” from the judges of Britain’s Got Talent, but paw-rents viewing the reality series at home were less than impressed. After the episode of the duo’s unique performance, British broadcast regulator Ofcom received dozens of complaints regarding the welfare of Wendy. Viewers questioned if a mouthpiece was used, and suggested an investigation into Marc’s methods of training Wendy.
RSPCA is looking into the situation, but the current theory is that the dog is wearing a fake mouth of sorts that is controlled by her owner with a button. While Marc has said he would never harm Wendy and that she loves the stage, concerned viewers believe this to be inhumane and distressing for the dog.
