Singapore: In late May (in the midst the Circuit Breaker), some 293 participants gathered with their pets, and set a Singapore Book of Records figure for the largest online gathering of pets and their owners.

The virtual event, conceptualised by perromart, was held to encourage pet owners to come together during the Circuit Breaker, also raised food for the animal shelters. For every participant on the call, perromart donated 1kg of dog and cat food to animal shelters.

With help from sponsors including name brands like Heka, Nutrience, Taste of the Wild, Addiction and Nurture Pro, perromart donated a total of 500kg of pet food to animal shelters instead of only 293kg.

During the 30 minutes Zoom call hosted by radio DJ Jill, from Kiss92, pet owners also had an educational session with Dr Tham from Jireh Veterinary Clinic.

Beneficiaries receiving these food donations included: Causes for Animals Singapore, F7-Friends of Seven, HOPE Dog Rescue, SGPawsAngels, MercyLight, and Animal Lovers League
