Daisy On Wheels
Daisy the mixed breed pooch was found by an animal control officer at the age of two months. Due to a congenital birth defect, her front legs are deformed, and she spent two more months in the shelter as she awaited her euthanisation date.
With her elbows, shoulder and hips dislocated, Daisy was an easy candidate for euthanisation, as with most disabled dogs in shelters. A volunteer from A Home 4Ever Dog Rescue found Daisy, and took her in, where after several months she finally found a forever home.
Now five years old and also outfitted with a wheelchair, Daisy is reported to be a happy, feisty pup and can even move around without the assistance. Daisy’s new owner now takes photos of the joyful pooch and spreads the word about disabled dogs in the hopes of getting the public to open their hearts and homes to these dogs in need.
